Field Supervisor, Public Health Nutrition
Patricia Wakimoto received her Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition from Arizona State University, her Master’s of Science degree in Health Education at Indiana University, and her Doctorate in Public Health from the University of California Berkeley.
Dr. Wakimoto currently holds a joint appointment as associate researcher at the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health and assistant scientist at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI). Patricia recently joined the UC Berkeley Atkins Center for Weight and Health as associate researcher. Prior to this, she co-directed the community outreach program with the NIH Minority Health Disparities, Center of Excellence for Nutritional Genomics at CHORI. Her research areas of interest include diet methodology; program evaluation, diet and chronic disease; and community based research and outreach programs with diverse populations.
